Project on Sequences and Series
In mathematics, sequences and series are fundamental
concepts that deal with ordered collections of numbers.
A sequence is a list of numbers written in a particular
order. Each number in the sequence is called a term. For example, {1, 2, 3, 4,
5} is a sequence where each term increases by 1. Sequences can be finite or
infinite.
A series is the sum of the terms in a sequence. If you add
up all the terms of a sequence, you get a series. For example, if we consider
the sequence {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}, the corresponding series would be \(1 + 2 + 3 + 4
+ 5 = 15\).
Sequences and series are widely studied in mathematics and have many applications in various fields such as calculus, number theory, and physics. They provide powerful tools for analyzing patterns, making predictions, and solving problems.
