Project on Geography
Agents of erosion are natural forces or processes that wear
away and gradually remove material from the Earth's surface. These agents play
a crucial role in shaping the landforms we see today. Examples of agents of
erosion include water (in the form of rivers, streams, waves, and glaciers),
wind, ice, and gravity. Each of these agents has its own unique way of breaking
down and transporting sediment and rock particles, leading to the formation of
valleys, canyons, cliffs, beaches, and other landforms.
